A CMOS Square-Rooting Circuit
نویسنده
چکیده
The article proposes the square-rooting circuit. It bases the square-law characteristics of CMOS operating in saturation region for generating square-root function. The principle of the research is attained by the currentmirror circuit, which controls the voltages. The designed circuit dominates current as input and voltage as output. The structure of the circuit is simplified by only seven CMOS. Simulation results are demonstrated by PSpice program. They find that an input range is about 3μA. whereas ±1.5_V supply voltage.

Current-mode square rooting circuit using CCCDTA
In this paper, a novel circuit realizing the square rooting function in current-mode is presented. The circuit makes use of a recently proposed active building block (ABB), namely the current controlled current differencing transconductance amplifier (CCCDTA). The circuit offers the following advantages: (i) a complete current-mode circuit makes it suitable for current-mode signal processing ap...

This article proposes a current-mode square-rooting circuit using current follower transconductance amplifier (CTFA). The amplitude of the output current can be electronically controlled via input bias current with wide input dynamic range. The proposed circuit consists of only single CFTA. Without any matching conditions and external passive elements, the circuit is then appropriate for an IC ...

A current-mode cell based on the square-law characteristic of MOS transistors in saturation is revisited to extend its functionality. The original structure was reported to provide squaring operation [1]. However, biasing the circuit differently it is able to achieve the inverse operation and to perform also as a geometric-mean/square-rooter. This is illustrated with experimental results. INTRO...
متن کاملLow-Power Adder Design for Nano-Scale CMOS
A fast low-power 1-bit full adder circuit suitable for nano-scale CMOS implementation is presented. Out of the three modules in a common full-adder circuit, we have replaced one with a new design, and optimized another one, all with the goal to reduce the static power consumption. The design has been simulated and evaluated using the 65 nm PTM models.
